My travels once again bring me to the great state of Texas. Snigglezone’s small business loan must have finally gone through. I must say I felt a little guilty raking in the $15 pay check every two weeks waiting for an assignment the last few months. My journey began in the majestic city of San Antonio, home of the Alamo. No trip is complete without a visit to this historic landmark of Texas. Unfortunately, I can’t provide any insight into the Alamo because I never made it there. The famed Riverwalk consumed most of my time and liver. The Riverwalk is an eclectic collection of hotels, restaurants, bars, and clubs. It is an area of enjoyment for any age, both young and old. Bar hopping is great way to see all there is to offer on the Riverwalk. Lazily stroll between hot spots or, if your to drunk to walk, take a water taxi which can be caught at any location along the canal. (Handy Note: When drunk do not use the guardrails for support. They end without notice.)
According to recent studies, San Antonio is one of the fattest cities in the United States. That is no surprising fact when you see all of the restaurants in both the city and outlying areas. As a connoisseur of fatty foods and can appreciate all San Antonio has to offer. You cannot drive a half mile before passing a Mexican restaurant or steak house. I know I’m not in the food review business, but you must try Rudy’s BBQ. Co-located with gas stations around the city, Rudy’s offers great BBQ and a great price. Order turkey, ribs, sausage, or brisket by the pound (Atkins would be so proud). All meals come with a half of loaf of bread (no joke!). Well, that’s all for now. Come back later to hear about the treasures of Southern Texas and Mexican border towns.
