Punctuation, Snigglezone readers, has all the power. So while I could say I ran some errands, I could also say parking, was, not the best. On the other hand, I did spend a little time at my local Target store, purveyor of finery and mischief. On the plus side, Sniggle junior completed her swimming lesson test and was appropriately rewarded. I also learned that poor Sheal had to work all weekend long trying to get a web site up and running. That's all one could ask of a weekend, I suspect. Other than some type of festival. That would be fun.
Long time friend and sometimes contractor for the SZ Tower Complex has recently been touring the standup comedy circuit. Brian Fiona Kirk, an incredibly talented collegue of Sheal, Sniggle, and Willy T, has even gone so far as to be introduced by the one and only Louie Anderson.
We here at the Zone can't wait to get you on a podcast to hear all about the experience. In the meantime, shine on you, crazy diamond. Shine on indeed.
Way back when, in 2000, there was a little game named Deus Ex that came out. I recall that my machine at the time could barely play it, but it was far beyond anything I'd ever played in a first person shooter. It was a truely intiguing story, it had light leveling up capabilities, but what really set it apart was the incredible variety in the ways missions could be accomplished. Guns, stealth, con-artistry, or any combination. Then, in 2003, they released Deus Ex: Invisible war, similarly compelling story and exploration of an uncertain future where governments and corporations via for domination. And then, for many years, silience.
Now, they've resurrected a pre-quel. Deus Ex Human Revolution is coming out in March and I'm thinking you want to get it. As you'll see below, it has the ominous tones of Blade Runner, the confusion of a future driven by scientific advancement and political unrest. To be honest, it's probably the first time I've ever pre-order the limited edition of anything. But I hope it's worth it. It....it must be. Seriously though, there are few game trailers out there that are just so masterfully done that I get excited just watching them over and over again. I think the Wrath of the Lich king one was my all time favorite. This is a close second though.
The battle for the best search story continues. Sniggle, I throw down the gauntlet to thee, to create accurate search stories about what one of your days looks like, in the midst of that day.
That was pretty much all I had for a title. I just thought I would post a little note to see if anyone is actually still alive and reading this tiny corner of the internets at all. I know I sure am. Anywho.....heads up to all you festival lovers out there! The Mighty Fairview Park Centenial and Dendochronology Unicorn Festival of 100 Years of Mighty Amazing Awesome with Funnel Cakes is storming a park near me this weekend. How simply exciting! All I can say is I will definately attempt to count those unicorns. Until later, later.
Aside from ensuring that the future doesn't repeat itself, we here at the Zone take many challenges seriously. From the KFC Double Down (you'll get yours soon enough, Colonel), to the gauntlet of cinema, we're welcome it with apathy and mini-crescent rolls.
